The One Ocean Media Foundation is dedicated to raising environmental awareness and literacy in the United States and internationally, to address urgent and immediate threats to our planet’s environmental and cultural future. The Foundation is a continuation of Jon’s and Oceans 8 Film’s work these past twenty-five years documenting the health of the world’s environment, particularly our one ocean.

Through innovative new media – using the web, social media, films, books, magazine stories, lectures, public events and more – the Foundation seeks to communicate wonder and respect for the planet’s interconnected systems, particularly focused on bringing information into classrooms, communities, science institutions, museums and other public settings. The One Ocean Media Foundation also supports organizations committed to protecting ecosystems, wildlife, indigenous cultures and human rights through a wide variety of media outreach.
